Twitter has unveiled a tool that allows users to tag each of their posts with their current location. Now people can know the exact areas where each hourly musing is posted.
As of late last week, Twitter users can add a “location” to each Tweet. This prevents users from eating up their precious 140-character limit by mentioning their location in an individual post.
Location sharing is becoming a highly popular fad, especially with GPS-enabled phones that can automatically broadcast people’s specific pinpoint locations for the world to see.
It certainly raises concerns, and to some it may seem like an ethically questionable decision from Twitter. However, the site does warn users to be careful when mentioning their location.
