Video: PlayStation Phone gets Resident Evil treatment

The supposedly “non-existent” Android-powered PlayStation Phone has been caught on video running PS classics Resident Evil 2 and Rage Racer.

As Nathan Brown of Edge notes, both titles appear to be loaded on top of an emulator.

“The phone shows a menu titled ROM Buddy, and the games are launched through BIN files, images ripped from the original discs,” explained Brown.

“[This] suggests the Xperia Play has PS1 emulation built in.”

The as yet (officially) unnamed device seems to resemble the Sony PSPgo in its current iteration.

And as TG Daily previously reported, leaked details suggest the phone will boast a 4-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM, two microphones, micro-USB connection, along with a microSD card slot. [[PlayStation]]
