Netflix has a new gaggle of Marvel adaptations set to debut this year, and the big one that’s been long overdo for a resurrection is Daredevil. Now a premiere date has been announced, and it’s April 10.
As Variety reminds us, Charlie Cox is playing the title role, and the show also includes Rosario Dawson and Vincent D’Onofrio, who will play Kingpin. No other premiere dates have been announced for the other Marvel shows, which will include Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, because those shows are currently being cast, but they should be up and running in production some time later this year.
Collider tells us that Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) wrote the first two episodes of the show and was originally going to be the showrunner, and reports claim that the show will be “grittier,” like The Wire. Gritty or not, here’s hoping Daredevil will get the revival he deserves.
