All Sony Vaio PCs sold in the USA will come pre-installed with Google Chrome, the company said today.
That is likely to give Microsoft an attack of browser angst, because it is one of the biggest deals yet for the Google Chrome software.
The move also indicates a closer connection between Google and Sony but the browser will not yet be supplied on Vaio notebooks sold outside of the USA.
Chrome continues to have a small browser market share, with Internet Explorer continuing to rule the roost worldwide. Internet Explorer will still be bundled with Vaio products in the USA.
Mozilla’s Firefox has a considerable share of the market, with around a third of the entire market.
