Jobs may make surprise return at WWDC

San Francisco (CA) – Apple CEO Steve Jobs could soon return from his medical leave of absence and may even make a guest appearance at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference next week.

Reports in the Wall Street Journal earlier today suggest that the company is trying to coordinate Jobs’ return with a product launch or public event.

Jobs is believed to be set to return to work by the end of the month, as his medical leave – announced in January – predicted a July return.

Jobs was treated for pancreatic cancer in 2004 and appeared frail at an Apple event last June. In January, he announced that he would take a break because his health problems were ‘more complex’ than originally believed.
