Minix first unveiled its Android-powered Neo X7 at the Hong Kong electronics fair back in April. However, a number of people were unhappy with the design, prompting the company to revamp the device with new casing.
As CNX Software notes, the NEO X7 now closely resembles its predecessor, the NEO X5, albeit with upgraded hardware, including a quad-core Cortex A9 SoC paired with a quad-core Mali-400 GPU (Rockchip RK3188), 2GB DDR3, 16GB NAND Flash + SD/MMC card reader (SD 3.0, MMC V4.41).
Additional specs? WiFi, 3G support (via USB dongle, not included), Ethernet, Bluetooth, HDMI out, USB – 3x USB 2.0 port + micro USB OTG port and IR sensor.
As is expected these days, the set-top box runs the latest and greatest version of Android (4.2.2 Jelly Bean) and is packaged with a remote.
The Neo X7 is currently available for pre-order over on AliExpress and GeekBuying for $138.
