Acer has officially debuted its 8-inch Iconia W3 tablet at Computex 2013 in Taiwan. The Windows 8-powered device weighs just over a pound and measures under half an inch thick.
Acer claims the Iconia W3 – packaged with a free version of Office – is capable of providing up to 8 hours of battery life.
Key specs include an optional full-size keyboard accessory ($90), front- and rear-facing two-megapixel cameras, HDMI, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB, Intel dual-core 1.8GHz Atom Z2760 processor, 32-64GB of internal storage, with an additional 32 gigs of space available via microSD expansion.
Acer’s latest tablet is priced in the US at $379 and is already available for pre-order at Amazon, Microsoft’s retail stores and online Office Depot, OfficeMax, Staples and Walmart, with a launch date promised by end of the month.
