Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini – all are high-end vehicles commanding equally high prices.
Yes, Lamborghini is mostly known for its exotic sports cars, but the car maker recently lent its name and bull crest to the technology industry for the Lamborghini L2800 Android tablet.
The device is priced at 75,000 rubles in Russia, which works out to about $2,300 here in the US – obviously a significant amount of cash even for a boutique tablet.
Other than the Lamborghini logo and themed wallpapers, the specifications for the tablet are somewhat mundane.
The little tablet features a 9.7-inch screen with 1024 x 768 resolution, along with Sapphire Crystal for scratch prevention.
It is is powered by a 1.2 GHz QUALCOMM Snapdragon processor and runs Android 2.3, with a promised upgrade to Ice Cream (Android 4.0) supposedly on the way. The device is also equipped with 4 GB of storage, a 7500 mAh battery and speakers. The front camera has two-megapixel resolution, while the rear camera is set at five-megapixels.
Obviously the Lamborghini L2800 is all about status rather than performance. No doubt only a limited number of buyers will be willing to shell out $2,300 for a mid-range Android tablet.
