If you haven’t been paying attention toe the whole scuttlebutt of the Batman Vs Superman movie (and we can’t blame you, because there’s more important things in life), you probably know by now that it’s supposed to be followed by a Justice League film, which should be hitting theaters by the end of the decade.
In the meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter tells us that there will be a Justice League series through a YouTube channel called Machinima, and it will be a three-parter. Perhaps giving Warners a run for their money, because they have a number of superhero series launching next year through NetFlix, Justice League: Gods and Monster Chronicles, will be launching next spring, beating Marvel to the punch.
As Machinima said in a statement, “With Justice League, Machinima will be the very first place fans can experience a new vision for DC Comics’ beloved Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman characters.”
Could this also be DC’s way of testing the waters before a big screen Justice League movie? While the Avengers has been a huge hit, Justice League won’t be so easy to launch. It could be ridiculous in the wrong hands, but if this series turns out well, maybe it can show that JL can indeed be adapted for live action.
