Turtle Beach introduces alternative gaming headset

Turtle Beach has introduced a $30 portable gaming headset. According to company spokesperson Peter Ronick, the Ear Force Z1 was designed as a “cost-effective alternative” to more expensive models.

“We’ve had great success with our higher-cost PC headsets and the Z1 is our response to gamers who have requested a low-cost alternative with premium sound quality,” said Ronick.

“The Z1 is a perfect fit for the PC gamer seeking a great audio experience that’s both portable and affordable. They also make a great second-headset even if you already own a pair of gaming headphones.”

Ronick explained that the Z1 features an ultra-light design and includes a rugged, oversized, flexible boom mic for online communication.

In addition, the headset offets noise-reduction ear cushions, a ten-foot cable as well as an in-line remote control with volume and microphone muting.

The Ear Force Z1 can also be used with Ventrilo and Skype, or for listening to an MP3 player with a standard 3.5mm connector.
