Crytek has debuted a new story trailer for its long-awaited Crysis 2 FPS game. The fast-paced video depicts a 2023 NYC under siege from storms, floods and a mysterious (flesh-eating?) virus outbreak.
As expected, the federal government calls in the Army in an effort to control the situation and restore order.
But then the aliens arrive and all hell breaks loose.
So, are you ready to be deployed in the blazing hot LZ known as NYC?
Hell, yeah!
Just be aware, you’ll be greeted by a Statue of Liberty, who although mostly submerged, still manages to hold her torch high.
A sad sight to be sure, but not as depressing as NYC being turned into a war zone as the military tries desperately to fight an ancient enemy determined to conquer Earth.
Crysis 2 will be available on March 22 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
