While we’ve only seen the trailers for the upcoming Steve Jobs movie, there’s no doubt it’s going to be an infinitely better biopic than the first one, which was rushed into production with Ashton Kutcher in the lead.
So now the news comes in that the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, starring Michael Fassbender in the lead role, will be the “centerpiece” of the New York Film Festival, as Collider puts it, which also means that we’ll have official reviews for the movie soon.
The Steve Jobs biopic was shot quickly, and it will be hitting theaters in October 9, while the film will be screened at the NY Film Festival on September 25. Other movies that will be playing at the festival will include the Miles David biopic Miles Ahead, and the latest movie from Robert Zemeckis, The Walk.
We feel the movie’s got a shot at being a real winner, especially by judging the last trailer we saw for it, which was really a knock out. As we’ve said many times before, Jobs is such a complex person, it would probably take ten movies to fully capture the guy, but this could indeed be the movie the man deserves.
