So now it’s eleven months, practically to the day, that the next Star Wars movie will be out in the world. We’ve all seen the trailer by now, and if you haven’t, what have you been living in a cave? George Lucas saw it, and gave a very passive aggressive initial response. What does he have to say about it today?
As Screenrant and i09 report, Lucas said the trailer “looks great,” and “interesting. One thing I regret about Star Wars is that I never got to see it, you know? I never got to be blown away by the big ship coming over the thing or anything. But this time I’m going to be, because I have no idea what they’re doing.”
Whatever George thinks, you know the fans will be out there in force (pun intended) opening day. Hell, to a lot of Lucas bashers, if he liked the trailer, it could be a big minus, but we should all judge the movie on its own merits. That won’t be an easy task considering how much we love the original Star Wars, but the trailer shows promise, and we’re hoping it will be a good movie in its own right.
Any self-respecting geek has this date on their calendar, but if you don’t, Star Wars The Force Awakens will be everywhere on December 18.
