Avengers Age of Ultron Trailer Breaks Net Record

While The Avengers Age of Ultron trailer was officially supposed to debut this Tuesday, it got out early, and it looks pretty happenin.’ We at TG think it’s got a very good possibility of being at least as good as the original, if not better.

There’s no question Age of Ultron is going to be a huge movie when it comes out, and not surprisingly interest for the next Avengers is currently through the roof. As Entertainment Weekly tells us, 34.3 million people world-wide have seen the trailer within the first twenty-four hours it leaked.

26.2 million views came from Marvel’s YouTube channel, and as EW tells us, the previous record breaker was the teaser for Iron Man 3, which got 23.1 views in a 24 hour period. The first Avengers teaser also got 20.4 million views, which shows us that the next Avengers flick could have a good shot at being even bigger than the original.

As EW speculates, “The popularity of Age of Ultron’s trailer isn’t the surprise – it’s the magnitude that’s notable,” but it’s certainly no surprise. With The Avengers being the third biggest movie of all time, everyone’s dying to see what Joss Whedon has up his sleeve next. (We should also mention that Collider reported that next week Marvel will show more new footage from Ultron on the upcoming special Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop!, which will air on November 4.)
