The decision to redecorate can be either the best or the worst you’ve ever made. How smoothly the project goes depends on how prepared you are. To ensure things go well, you need to think about all the various options and stages ahead of you.

Theme
It’s a good idea to pick a theme to get your decorating started. You can either stick to the same theme for the whole house, or differentiate room to room. Take wall painting, for example. This will take several hours, but you also need to consider that you won’t be able to use the room for at least a day afterwards. However, hanging up photos or moving furniture takes significantly less time.
Plan accordingly. There’s nothing worse than having to give up a paint job half way through because someone needs to use the room to sleep in.
