OpenPeak is currently showcasing its Moorestown-powered OpenTablet 7 at the 2010 Mobile World Congress (MWC).
According to OpenPeak CEO Dan Gittleman, the touch-screen tablet features a high-resolution 7-inch multi-touch TFT LCD display with LED backlighting, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and cellular connectivity.
In addition, the OpenTablet 7 boasts HDMI output, dual cameras (video and still), an on-board USB interface, MicroSD slot, as well as built-in speakers and a microphone.
“The OpenTablet is the ultimate control panel, delivering the most commonly accessed multi-media services right to your fingertips anywhere. At just 9 inches by 5 inches, and only .59″ thick, the device is as slim and unobtrusive as a photo frame, and weighs just 1.15 pounds,” explained Gittleman.
“The all-in-one device allows you to sync schedules, check movie times, listen to music, watch videos, get weather updates and even monitor energy usage and home security, all from a single, easy-to-use device.”
Gittleman noted that the OpenTablet can be easily used by consumers who require a communications “command center,” as it converges voice, video and data services into a single portable device.
“[And] for service providers/utilities, the OpenPeak ecosystem delivers a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for deployment of hardware, software, applications and device management unlike any other on the market,” he added.
