Everyone who doesn’t work for Apple is hoping against hope that the Cupertino company puts us out of our misery soon and tells us whether or not it’s going to introduce a tablet computer.
Not that tablet computers are for everyone. Microsoft and a number of vendors have proved that people are quite indifferent to the format.
However, the rumors don’t go away. And the normally reliable Sydney Morning Herald is adding to the rumor mill with a story saying that Apple is touting a device to Australian media companies.
The idea, being, of course, that the “tablet” is really going to be an e-reader rather than a tablet.
The e-reader market is getting quite crowded of late. We’ll be interested to see how this pans out.
