A 38-year-old man from Tokyo named Shoji Morimoto has a job that most of us would be extremely envious of. He earns a living by doing nothing.
The Tokyo-resident charges 10,000 yen per booking to accompany clients. According to a report by Reuters, Morimoto has gone to over 4,000 sessions in the last 4 years.
“My job is to be wherever my clients want me to be and to do nothing in particular,” Morimoto told Reuters. With over 250k followers on Twitter, Morimoto said that most of his clients contact him on the micro-blogging site only. Among them, one person has hired Morimoto around 270 times. However, Morimoto maintains some boundaries when it comes to choosing the job.
“People do not have to be useful in any specific way,” Morimoto added.
