Panasonic is preparing to launch a massive 20-inch tablet equipped with a 3840 x 2560 pixel display. Dubbed the Toughpad 4K UT-MB50, the device also features a fiberglass case, Windows 8 Pro software and support for writing or drawing with a pressure-sensitive digital pen.
However, there is just one catch. As Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, the 4K tablet is priced at €4,500 or about $6,000.
According to Linder, the standard version of the tablet weighs in at five pounds and ships with 4GB of RAM, a 128GB solid state drive (SSD), with the higher-priced iteration (weighing 6 pounds) loaded with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.
As an added bonus, users can upgrade the standard model to 8GB of RAM or the performance version to 16GB.
Additional key specs include Intel Core i5 processors, NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M graphics, up to 6 hours of battery life, WiFi, Bluetooth, three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port and SD card slot.
