Cupertino is reportedly set to debut its next iPhone on September 10th at an Apple event coinciding with the second to last day of the IFA consumer electronics trade show.
As AppleInsiderpoints out, Samsung is expected to announce its Galaxy Note 3 at IFA, along with HTC which is slated to introduce its own “One Max” phablet.
“The event is expected to officially release the redesigned new iOS 7, which Apple says will support the existing iPhone 4 or later and iPad 2 or later models now being sold, as well as the 5th generation or newer iPod touch,” AppleInsider’s Daniel Eran Dilger explained.
“Apple is expected release an enhanced new iPhone 5S with a similar form factor to the existing iPhone 5.”
The new iPhone 5S is expected to introduce a range of enhanced features, including a camera with dual LED, a speedier processor and potentially a fingerprint sensor based on AuthenTec technology.
Dilger also noted that Cupertino may also be prepping a new iPhone 5C targeted at entry level buyers. The entry level handset is likely to be approximately 0.8 millimeters thicker than the iPhone 4S, with back edges that are rounded off. Rumors indicate the iPhone “lite” will likely boast an Sight camera, rear-facing microphone and single LED flash.
