Chinese gadget maker Pipo has debuted a 9.4-inch tablet dubbed the M8pro. The device features a 9.4-inch screen set at a resolution of 1280 x 800.
The tablet – powered by a Rockchip RK3188 ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core processor – is currently up for online pre-order at a $229 price point.
Along with a 9.4-inch screen quad-core processor, the device is equipped with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and runs Android 4.1 (JellyBean). The tablet also features a five-megapixel rear camera and a two-megapixel front camera, along with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a microSD memory card slot and an HDMI output.
In related news, a company known as Ramos has launched an Android tablet known as the x10pro, which boasts a 7.85-inch display and 1024 x 768 resolution.
The device is powered by a MediaTek MT8389 quad-core processor paired with PowerVR SGX 544 graphics. Additional specs? Integrated Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, a front-facing two-megapixel digital camera, rear camera with a resolution of five-megapixels and 1GB of base RAM. The tablet can be purchased with up to 16 GB of storage.
Availability and pricing on the X10pro is unknown at this time. In addition, the X10pro shouldn’t be confused with the existing X10 Mini Pad. Yes, the latter tablet has the same 7.85-inch screen and matches the 1024 x 768 resolution. However, the Mini Pad is fitted with an ATM7029 processor and lacks some of the other Pro features.
