Acer has debuted the Iconia B1-A71, which can best be described as a budget-friendly Android tablet with a price tag under $150.
The device boasts has a 7-inch screen and promises to be a good match for users new to the tablet world or anyone wanting an entry-level tablet that is easy on the wallet.
The Iconia B1-A71 weighs 320 g, making it one of the lightest seven-inch (1024 x 600) tablets currently available. It is powered by a dual-core Mediatek (ARM) 1.2 GHz processor, promising enough horsepower for fast and smooth gaming, web browsing and watching streaming videos.
Additional specs include Google Android Jelly Bean (OS), 8 GB of integrated storage (expandable via a microSD card slot), 512 MB of RAM, integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headphone port, an internal speaker and a front facing 0.3-megapixel camera.
As expected, the tablet is fully capable of accessing Google’s extensive Play store and is ready for gaming or anything else that users might want to do with an Android device.
It should probably be noted that Acer is also selling a slightly higher-end 10-inch Android tablet dubbed the A110 for a cool $230.
