Origin has introduced a tricked-out Windows (7 or 8) gaming laptop known as the EON17-SLX.
The specs are pretty impressive indeed, such as the 17.3-inch full HD resolution LED backlit LCD display and a 3D gaming option powered by Nvidia’s Vision Wireless Glasses.
To support 3D gaming technology, the 17.3-inch Origin boasts a 120 Hz refresh rate and offers up a wide variety of options, including multiple Intel quad core processors, RAM and storage choices.
The machine can be had with single or dual graphics cards with both options available for the Nvidia GTX 670MX, AMD Radeon HD 7970M, and Nvidia GTX 680M. Both the 2D and 3D version of the notebook feature a matte finish to reduce glare.
Available processors fall into the Intel Core i7 line, with quad-cores ranging in speed from 2.3 GHz all the way up to 4.1 GHz when overclocked. RAM? Anywhere from 4GB -32GB. SSDs range from 40 GB up to 256 GB, as well as traditional hard drives up to one terabyte.
The EON17-SLX notebook starts at a base price of $1858, with an entry-level 3D version tagged at $2193. Clearly, the prices of both systems will scale up considerably based on options and specs.
