Looking for a new PC-on-a-stick that runs Google’s Android OS and can stream your favorite video content?
Well, you might want to check out the UG007 which is powered by a 1.6 GHz Rockchip RK3066 dual-core processor. As you may recall, the similarly named UG802 PC-on-a-stick we recently discussed is loaded with the very same chip.
However, one of the primary differences between the UG802 and the UG007 is storage capacity. The UG007 boasts 8 GB of storage whereas the UG802 offers only 4 GB of storage. The 007 is also equipped with integrated Bluetooth as well as integrated Wi-Fi, along with Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean).
Additional specs? 1 GB of RAM, Mali 400 graphics, a USB 2.0 port, and an integrated HDMI output. The 007 is already available online at sites such as AliExpress where it can be snapped up for prices as low as $60.
One caveat that could be a deal breaker for the UG007 and any other device running a Rockchip processor is that the company doesn’t typically offer source code to help developers port other operating systems to run on its devices. As Liliputing notes, this likely means UG007 owners are tied to Android – and probably can’t load up various Linux flavors.
