In an
attempt to improve it’s public image after Edward Snowden revealed the extent
of their mass surveillance, British Intelligence agency Government
Communications Headquarters has made it’s debut on Twitter.
It is a matter of some mirth that the agency snooping on tweets for
years has caved and is now doing some tweeting of its own.
Their first tweet, however, pales in comparison to the CIA’s.
Hello, world. https://t.co/SROtSsE8KB

We can neither confirm nor deny that this is our first tweet.

Within half an hour of its account being verified by Twitter, the GCHQ account attracted more than 2,000 followers.
