Sony launches $250 3D camera, the Bloggie 3D

Sony’s dominance in the 3D market continues, now making the technology more accessible.

The company has just launched the Bloggie 3D, one of the most affordable 3D digital cameras on the market today. Ringing in at just $250, the point-and-shoot device can record at full 1980×1080 HD, 3D quality in both still picture form as well as videos.

The Bloggie line has become popular among the casual consumer crowd, offering a cheap way to have high-quality pictures at the ready. The 3D model will be able to export pictures to 3D digital photo frames, 3D TVs, and other devices like Nintendo’s 3DS.

It features a 5.15 MP sensor for still photos, though the main draw of the device is video. It has a glasses-free 3D display to preview and playback content, as well as 4x digital zoom, 8 GB of built-in memory, Sony’s SteadyShot technology for blur-free pictures, and Face Detection functionality.

The camera measures in at 55x108x17.3mm, and weighs just 120 grams.

The Bloggie 3D is available now at electronics retailers as well as all the major online stores.
