White Castle has added online ordering at all of their locations. Life just got a little better for stoners everywhere.
Other groups might be happy with White Castle’s announcement, but who are we kidding? This is something that is tailor made for smokey-eyed college students everywhere.
And that’s totally ok.
White Castle tested the service first in March in Minneapolis and has expanded it to all its restaurants. It obviously tested very well with White Castle’s core group of consumers, are you surprised?
“We wanted to make online ordering available to our customers for ease and convenience,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president of corporate relations. “As a family owned business for 90 years now, one thing we know is most important is listening to our team members and customers. The test provided us important feedback on how to tailor the technology best to meet Cravers’ needs everywhere.”
“Slider nirvana” is just a click away for White Castle’s die-hard (inebriated) Cravers because orders are now ready when they are. The service is especially useful for those placing large orders.
Richardson added that more people like to order their food online. “It’s a matter of accessibility,” he said. “Our customers are on the go and they need their Crave satiated quickly.”
Customers itching to try White Castle’s online ordering system can register easily with the site by creating a free online account and then finding their restaurant location of choice on an interactive map. Customers are then directed to the virtual menu, where they can design their order and pay online or when they pick up their order.
White Castle is an industry leader in funny product offerings in fast-food restaurants. The online ordering feature is just one of many new initiatives the company has launched in its 90th birthday year.
The only thing that would make the online ordering better is if they outright admitted that they were catering to the Harold and Kumar crowd. There’s nothing wrong with trying to please the consumers who keep your business afloat.
