If you haven’t already placed your order for an iPad, it is now impossible to get one of the Apple tablets on its launch date next week.
Pre-orders for the iPad may have already eclipsed 250,000 units and Apple just won’t be able to keep up.
AppleInsider.com noticed that the iPad page on Apple’s online store now shows a ship date of April 12. That’s 9 days after the product launches April 3. Additionally, the “in-store pick-up” option has been removed.
Apple had previously said that only pre-order customers will be able to get an iPad on launch day because of limited supply. Now, that supply does appear to have been fully accounted for.
There’s still no word on when people will be able to order the 3G-capable iPad, which is due out later next month.
