After somewhat muddled excitement with the Optimus 3D, it looks like the next phone to carry LG’s new Optimus name will strive to gain more attention.
And with a 4.5-inch high-definition display, along with connectivity for high-speed 4G LTE mobile data, it should be able to do just that.
Those are the details coming from a Korean website called Daum. The report also suggests the phone will have a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor as well as version 2.4 of Android, also known as Ice Cream Sandwich.
In addition, the phone will have access to mobile TV, according to the report. It will also come pre-loaded with a mobile HD version of the penultimate classic game Street Fighter IV.
The Korean report only lists local carriers that are expected to carry it. The Optimus 3D was slated for exclusivity with AT&T, and AT&T did just launch its LTE network. So it’s very plausible we’ll see a continued partnership there.
AT&T has managed to continue to grab sweet exclusivity deals despite being consistently ranked at the bottom of the list of major carriers. It’s just really good at closing a deal.
Nevertheless, nothing is etched in stone yet. We’ll have to wait until US details are confirmed before speculating too much further.
