Want the power of the iPhone 4 without the hassle of a faulty device that’s at the center of a multi-million dollar class-action lawsuit? The new iPod Touch could provide exactly what you need.
Digitimes reports that Apple will be releasing a new version of the iPod Touch either next month or in September, which will sport a 3-megapixel camera and Apple’s new A4 processor. That’s the same chip that powers the iPhone 4, as well as the iPad.
This is welcome news for those who like the more powerful processing power on the iPhone 4 but are nervous to sign up for a brand new mobile service on a phone that’s at the center of a huge legal issue.
The Digitimes story also cites confirmation of a new Macbook Air notebook computer, which will be “even slimmer and lighter” than the existing ultra slim and ultra lightweight Air models.
The new Macbooks are reportedly set for release in the second half of the year. Perhaps with these new product launches, Apple will get some sort of cloud over the iPhone 4.
