A re-invigorated Steve Jobs is spending his time at Apple concentrating on a tablet device for Apple, sources have told the Wall Street Journal.
The report says that Jobs has concentrated on working on the rumored Apple Tablet ever since he returned from sick leave.
But that has caused some hackles to raise amongst Apple employees who had grown used to working on Apple projects without micro-management from Jobs, claims the Journal.
Jobs replied to an email from the newspaper by saying “much” of the information gleaned was incorrect, although he didn’t say which elements were true and untrue.
It isn’t the first time Apple has worked on making a tablet the focus of its attention but Jobs dropped earlier projects. Tablets have not proved particularly successful with end users on the Windows platform – many people want a very thin and very light device and so far few products manufactured have lived up to that dream.
