Unsurprisingly, the Fedora flavor of Linux was one of the first third-party operating unofficially ported to the $35 Raspberry Pi.
Now Fedora is back for the Pi, and better than before, remixed specifically for the device.
Dubbed Pidora, this OS is based on Fedora 18, supporting nearly every app that can run on the x86 version of the operating system.
As Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, the revamped OS is designed to be downloaded and installed on an SD card, which the Pi uses for storage.
Of course, Pidora isn’t the only Linux-based OS for the Pi, as it joins the auspicious operating systems ranks populated by the likes of Raspbian, which is based on the Debian flavor of Linux.
