Acer intros 11.6-inch netbook

Taiwanese manufacturer Acer has introduced two netbooks today – one with an 11.6-inch screen and the other a 10.1-inch model.

The Aspire One AO751h has a full sized keyboard as well as the 11.6-inch widescreen which is LED lit.

The other model, the AOD250 with the 10.6-inch screen can give up to three hours and 15 minutes of battery life. Acer claims the AO751h gives eight hours of life if an extended six cell battery is used.

Models can take up to 2GB of DDR2 memory and up to 250GB on the hard drive. The full spec for the AO751h-1192 includes the Atom Zf20 microprocessor, Windows XP Home, a multi-in-one digital media card reader and SD card, the Acer “Crystal eye” web cam, two built in stereo speakers, three USB 2.0 ports, a 6-cell battery, one year’s standard warranty and comes at the suggested retail price of $379.99.

The AOD250-1042 uses an Atom N270 CPU, comes with Windows XP Home, the Intel 945GSE Express chipset, 1GB of DDR memory, a 160GB hard drive, a web cam, two strea speakers and and three USB ports. This machine costs $298.
