Acer has deployed the latest iteration of its tricked-out Predator gaming rig. The hardcore system features Intel Core i7 quad-core processors, Nvidia GeForce GTX470 graphics with 3-way SLI support and 12GB DDR3 memory.
“Nvidia’s advanced GPUs run simultaneously to deliver kickass, high-performance graphics playback. The combined power of DirectX 11, CUDA and PhysX renders amazing, cinematic quality visuals,” Acer spokesperson Steve Smith told TG Daily in an e-mailed statement.
“In addition, the Predator AG7750 [boasts] an Intel Core i7 930 quad-core processor that delivers [optimized] speed for gaming, while Turbo Boost Technology heightens performance and increases processor frequency by 133MHz on short and regular intervals.”
The rig – chilled by a two-part liquid cooling system – is loaded with a 1.5TB hot-swap SATA HD and three additional easy-swap cages, accommodating up to four Serial ATA 3 G/bs high-capacity HDs for a total of 8GB.
The system is also equipped with a multi-in-one card reader, an optical drive, along with a number of open PCI Express slots: two PCI Express x16, two PCI Express x1, one PCI Express x8 and a standard PCI.
Finally, the Predator AG7750 offers the following connectivity options: 11 USB 2.0 ports (five in front, six in back), IEEE 1394, two eSATA ports, two Ethernet ports, two DVI-D ports (up to six with three graphics cards), a TV-out port and six audio jacks.
The Predator AG7750 is currently available at a starting price of $2,000.
