MSI recently introduced an uber-mini barebones desktop PC equipped with a Mini ITX board that supports Intel’s Haswell processor, up to 16GB of RAM and three internal storage devices.
The ProBox23 also features two SATA III 2.5 inch drive bays, a connector for an mSATA drive and a mini PCIe slot for an optional WiFi card.
Additional features include an HDMI port, an eSATA port, 6 USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, line and mic jacks, as well as support for 4K Ultra HD video output and Intel’s Pentium Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 Haswell processors (with a maximum TDP of up to 65 watts).
According to Liliputing’s Brad Linder, the ProBOX23 measures 8″ x 8″ x 2.1″and weighs about 2.5 pounds, making the system small enough to be attached to the back of a monitor using a VESA mount.
The ProBOX23 is expected to ship in April 2014.
