GoSingGo has debuted an Android-powered TV stick equipped with an Ethernet port, making it easy to plug the device directly into a television’s HDMI port to run apps and games.
Indeed, the GSG-TB06 can fit in the palm of a user’s hand – connecting to the Internet over WiFi or Ethernet.
As Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, the full-sized Ethernet jack is probably the most impressive GSG-TB06 feature, although it can be used with either an HDMI connector or AV cables to connect the stick to a TV.
Key specs include a 1 GHz Allwinner A10 ARM Cortex-A8 single core processor, Mali 400 graphics, 1GB of RAM, 4GB-32GB of flash storage + microSD card slot, HDMI/AV output, 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 micro USB port and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Although the default pre-loaded OS is Google’s wildly popular mobile operating system, the AllWinner A10 chip makes it relatively easy to load Ubuntu and other alternative Linux-based flavors onto the device using a microSD card.
Unfortunately, the PC-on-a-stick isn’t yet available for retail purchase (less than 200 pieces), but as Linder points out, it probably won’t be very long at all until you can snag one at AliExpress.
