The GV-17 Android TV Box is powered by an AllWinner A20 dual-core Cortex A7 paired with an ARM Mali-400MP2 GPU.
Key specs? 1GB RAM, 8GB Flash, SD card slot, a 2.0MP front camera for Skype, HDMI out, composite and VGA, WIFi, Ethernet and 2x USB Host.
According to the folks at CNX Software, the set-top box ships with a power adapter, an HDMI cable, AV cable, a remote control/air mouse.
“This set-top box is particularly interesting for those wanting a VGA port and/or do video conferencing, but I’d wish they had offer an option to insert a 2.5″ SATA drive or SSD since A20 supports SATA,” CNX noted.
“[Since] most documentation and source code is already available for AllWinner A20, we should see Linux run on such device(s) very soon, probably with proper GPU support, but no VPU support.
Interested? The GV-17 with AllWinner A20 can currently be purchased for $112.19 on GeekBuying, although be warned, the above-mentioned remote control isn’t (currently) listed on the GeekBuying website.
