The Allwinner A20 can best be described as a dual-core, ARM Cortex-A7 processor paired with Mali 400 graphics.
The SoC is targeted at inexpensive, low-power devices such as Android tablets, although the chip can also be found in a growing number of Android mini PCs.
Indeed, as Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, Cloudsto is currently selling an A20 Media Stick and A20 Media PC featuring Allwinner’s new dual-core processor.
Both devices are loaded with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage and Android Jelly Bean (4.2). The two systems are currently on track to ship in mid-March, although they can be pre-ordered now for approximately $90.50 (stick) and $128 (media PC), respectively.
The stick boasts a full-sized USB port, an HDMI port, IR receiver and remote control, as well as a microSD card slot.
Meanwhile, the Media PC includes an Ethernet port, AV output, a full-sized SD card slot and two full-sized USB ports.
Both devices can be easily plugged into a television, as they support HD resolution (2160p), allowing users to stream content, play games and load Android apps.
