Apple has managed to sell over two million iPads since launching its over-hyped tablet in the US on April 3.
The device has since shipped in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.
According to AppleInsider, the company initially shipped 500,000 iPads during the device’s first week on the market.
However, the number doubled just three weeks later when Apple confirmed on May 3rd that it had sold its millionth unit.
“On average, Apple would appear to be selling just over 35,700 iPads each day and the company boasts a catalog of over 5,000 new applications for the touch-screen device that have been authored by its developer community,” reported AppleInsider.
“Apple also said Monday that the iPad will be available in nine more countries in July and additional countries later this year.”
