Android SkyNet invades China

iDreamsky is launching a social gaming and distribution platform for Android titles in the Chinese market.

Dubbed “SkyNet,” the platform is currently designated as the official and preloaded game center app on Android devices manufactured by a number of industry heavyweights, including Lenovo and Coolpad.

SkyNet provides easy access to multiple next-gen social gaming features, such as PvP, virtual currency reward mechanics, local social media integration in Sina Weibo, QQ micro-blogging and RenRen.

“[It is] also integrating many of the most popular payment channels in China, such as QQ coins, Unionpay, Alipay and all three of Telecom’s payment gateways.”

Currently in closed beta, the platform is expected to be preloaded on more than four million Android devices by the end of 2011.
