Additional features include a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 pixel display, 16/32 GB of storage, 3GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, 8.1MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, FM radio and IR blaster.
In terms of optional accessories, Sony is offering a Bluetooth keyboard, a charging dock and various cases.
As Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, Sony’s waterproof and dust-resistant case is what really sets the tablet apart from others in the crowded marketplace.
”Sony says its tablet is IPX5/8 waterproof and IPX5 dust resistant — assuming you keep all the plastic covers securely fastened over USB ports and other openings,” he explained.
The 16GB version of the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is currently available for $500, while the 32GB iteration is slated to launch in May for $600.
