We recently reported that Cube had introduced an accessory “kit” allowing users to transform their tablets into a TV box. Well, Cube is in the news again, only this time it is about an actual tablet, rather than a kit.
Dubbed the U39GT, the 9-inch device boasts a quad-core processor along with a 1920 x 1280 pixel display. The price? $230 and up.
Key specs include a Rockchip RK3188 ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 5200mAh battery, HDMI output, a microSD card slot, a 5MP rear camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera.
Additional features?
A 10 point capacitive touchscren (PLS display with wide viewing angles), WiFi, Bluetooth and Miracast wireless display technology.
Oh, and yes, the device measures 0.35 inches thick and weighs just under 1.1 pounds.
“In other words, under the hood it’s a lot like the Cube U30GT2 tablet I revieweda few months ago,” noted Liliputing’s Brad Linder.
“It just has a smaller screen and less built-in storage. I was pretty impressed with the 10 inch Cube U30GT2′s performance (and price), but underwhelmed by its WiFi reception.”
The Cube U30GT2 is currently available on AliExpress for $230 and up.
