We’ve seen quite a few tablets powered by Rockchip’s RK3188 quad-core processor turn up in recent weeks.
In late March, an Android-powered tablet from Yuandao dubbed the N80 surfaced packing the same exact SoC. This week, a manufacturer known as Freelander debuted a pair of new Android tablets equipped with the very same processor.
One of the tablets – dubbed the Freelander PD80H – features a 9.7-inch display set at a resolution of 2048 x 1536, the same res as Apple’s iPad retina display. Additional specs? An ARM Mali 4 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, Bluetooth, support for Miracast wireless display tech and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
The second tablet – with a 10.1-inch display (1280 x 800) – is known as the PD900. Specs include 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of integrated storage.
Cost and availability, although both devices will very likely carry a reasonable price tag when they hit the streets in the near future.
