GoNote Mini: A 7-inch touchscreen Android netbook

Ergo Electronics has introduced a 7-inch touchscreen netbook dubbed the GoNote Mini which measures 7.9″ x 4.7″ x 0.9″ and weighs 1.5 pounds.

The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz Rockchip RK2918 ARM Cortex-A8 single core processor and runs Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). Additional specs?

A 7-inch, 800 x 480 pixel capacitive touchscreen display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage and a mouse button in the center of the keyboard.

The device also boasts a mini USB port, mini HDMI port, WiFi, a USB 2.0 port, a microSD card slot, 3.5mm audio jack, front-facing VGA camera and 2MP rear camera.

As expected, the GoNote Mini is fully capable of accessing Google’s expansive Play Store, downloading and running thousands of apps.

As Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, while the GoNote Mini isn’t as powerful as a standard ultrabook, it may be an interesting option for parents looking for a cheap computer for kids that is capable of basic web surfing, chat, video and gaming.
