Microsoft and Nokia are slated to debut the latest Lumia 920 handset on September 5.
According to reports, the Lumia 920 will be ranked as Nokia’s new flagship Windows smartphone, which certainly makes sense, especially given the rather impressive spec list obtained by the folks at TheVerge.
First off, the handset will apparently support wireless charging in the form of an inductive method – or lining the device up to the contacts on a charging pad. As expected, the Lumia 920 also supports the Qi wireless power standard, allowing it to function with other wireless charging products.
In addition, the smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor paired with a 4.5-inch HD display, as well as 1GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
It remains somewhat unclear what camera model the Lumia 920 will be equipped with, although TheVerge is reporting an 8-megapixel PureView (rear), rather than the 41-megapixel found on Nokia’s 808 PureView handset .
“[Remember], Nokia is focusing on marketing the Lumia 920 as PureView thanks to some advancements in image stabilization and camera software that it plans to ship on the device,” added Tom Warren of TheVerge. ”The front of the device will also include a 1.3-megapixel camera.”
