The $75 Z902 Mini Android PC is almost ready for the masses as it hits pre-order. You’d better jump on this one fast, as the price tag expected to jump to $89 once the device actually starts shipping.
Yes, Zero Devices will offload the first 500 units for $75, before raising the price by $14.
The uber-mini PC – which looks like a flash drive – is powered by an Allwinner A10 ARM Cortex A8 processor and 1 GB of RAM. Other features include a microSDHC card slot for storage expansion, integrated Wi-Fi and an HDMI connector.
The device also boasts a single full-sized USB 2.0 port (for mouse or keyboard), alongside a pair of mini USB ports. Fortunately, this mini computer connects directly to your TV or display without the need for additional cables.
The Z902 is designed to run Android 4.0 ICS, but should also be able to boot various versions of Linux as well. Like most mini PCs, this computer isn’t going to be playing intense video games or performing tasks that require a lot of raw processing power.
Still, with support for HD video and its small size, the device could make for a very interesting HTPC in the living room. Of course, you can also use it to play Android video games on your TV, assuming you have a controller set up.
