China-based Giada is showcasing a new mini PC with sweet specs that is uber power efficient.
The tiny little computer is powered by Intel’s third-generation Intel Core processor family, aka Ivy Bridge. The machine is thin even though its processor is a dual core unit. By default, the computer comes with an Intel Core i5 processor.
However, the system is also available with less powerful Core i3 or more advanced Core i7 processors.
The mini PC costs about $520 when equipped with a Core i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a 500 GB hard drive. No matter what processor the machine is optioned with, graphics are enabled via an Intel HD 4000 integrated GPU.
The i53 ships with a wireless remote control for controlling various media functions from across the room, making the Giada ideal as a compact, yet powerful HTPC for your living room.
Additional key features include five USB ports with one supporting USB 3.0. The machine also boasts HDMI output and VGA outputs, along with Bluetooth and integrated 802.11n Wi-Fi. The small computer measures 7.6 x 6.1 x 1-inch and weighs 2.2 pounds. This is small enough to easily fit inside even the most crowded entertainment centers.
Giada says the machine supports 1080p HD video and 5.1 channel surround sound. The machine will run Windows, but it’s unclear if it ships with the operating system installed or not.
