Fun Fun Fun Fest has announced its full 2010 lineup with plenty of amazing headliners, and it definitely sounds fun, fun, fun. Festival organizers have prided themselves on the diversity of the musical acts this year, including headliners like MGMT, GWAR, DEVO, Bad Religion, Dirty Projectors, and many more. Not to mention, “Weird Al” Yankovic will be kicking off the festivities. Held in Austin, TX this November 5th-7th, Fun Fun Fun Fest will truly be memorable.
Most of the news this week includes various bands announcing fall tours, so get ready to snatch up some tickets to these shows. Thievery Corporation and Massive Attack have announced a co-headlining U.S. tour for the fall, both supporting new albums. The Whigs are set to perform on Jay Leno August 12th, and have also announced a fall tour with none other than Kings of Leon and Black Keys. Mark Lanegan and Isobel Campbell (former members of Screaming Trees and Belle & Sebastian respectively) have announced a fall tour together in support of Campbell’s newest solo release, Hawk. Hot Chip and LCD Soundsystem will be touring this fall, and have currently added even more dates. Hot Chip will also be releasing a remixes EP, We Have Remixes. Finally, Beak> has announced a few U.S. tour dates as well.
Also, while you’re spending all of your money on concert tickets, take a listen to Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy soundtrack. The techno legends have released six tracks from the upcoming album.
