The news just hit that Scarlett Johansson is expecting a child with her fiancé, Romain Dauriac. This is great news, but it could also be a problem because she could start showing in her Black Widow outfit, so the Avengers 2 shoot has had to do some reshuffling schedule-wise.
As Collider tells us, the production will “fast track” Johansson’s scenes, and get them finished before her pregnancy becomes more obvious. Johansson will be due to give birth in August, so her scenes will be shot in April after she’s done promoting Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
As readers of TGD know by now, shooting on Avengers 2 is currently underway, and the shoot began in South Africa. The whole gang of Avengers we know and love will be back, along with Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, Paul Bettany as The Vision (he’s also the voice of Jarvis, Tony Stark’s Siri style computer system), and James Spader as Ultron.
Look for The Avengers: Age of Ultron in theaters on May 1, 2015.
