It’s always a trip to find out a certain celebrity likes the same movies, TV, music or video games you do. After all, celebrities are people just like you and me, and a lot of times they like stuff that’s in the zeitgeist, just like everyone else does.
As we all know, Breaking Bad finally came to an end last year, and unlike Dexter, it left the fans with a satisfying conclusion. And as the Daily Beast and the New York Times report, President Obama is a fan of the show. As the Beast points out, the Prez likes to tell people every year what he likes to watch, and this year his big revelation was enjoying Breaking Bad.
As it turns out, Obama is also a fan of Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Downton Abbey, and Mad Men. The New York Times tells us that he’s still catching up to Breaking Bad, and tells everyone around him not to spoil anything for him. In addition, Obama digs House of Cards, and he reportedly told an executive at Netflix, “I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient. This guy’s getting a lot of stuff done.”
Other shows Obama digs include Homeland, andhe feels The Wire is one of the greatest shows ever. These titles are all good, high quality television, and it’s good to know our commander in chief isn’t binge watching Gilligan’s Island and Duck Dynasty.
